Nacionalni Restoran is a simple cafeteria offering a counter of prepared, traditional Bosnian dishes. The sampler plates were a great way to try out a bunch of different items—the Herzegovina Plate came with two kinds of cured meats including beef and smoked ham, two kinds of cheeses, kaymak (cream), and potato pancakes. The Vegetarian Plate came with fried eggplant, roasted peppers, cooked carrots/cauliflower, a salad of beans/corn/cabbage, and cooked greens. The plates were served with a basket of chewy flatbread, which went nicely with all the different components. While everything came at a good value, the food was rather bland and underseasoned, and the fried items were on the greasy side.
