We’ve been in Croatia for seven days. Did it all! Vis, Hvara, Dubrovnik, Split and more. And it was all “best in class”. Our experience at Portofino was absolutely the best service and food on our trip. You will not regret it. Highly recommend! Here’s a few pics if you need physical evidence…

The flavor of the ravioli was excellent, I really enjoyed the dish. However, the portion was quite small, and I was still hungry afterward. If they improved the portion size, it would be a perfect experience.

La comida es muy buena, terraza agradable. Me comí un salmón con vegetales. Mis amigos pidieron pasta y quedaron encantados.<br><br>Los postres son exquisitos, sobre el de chocolate con diferentes texturas.<br><br>Toni su mesonero un encanto, explica bien los platos y de muy buen humor.<br><br>Gracias

Super Service und tolles Essen. Beim Durchlaufen der Altstadt hat uns das Portofino direkt angesprochen, wir sind am Ende dort "gelandet" und wurden nicht enttäuscht.<br>Preislich etwas höher aber lohnt sich definitiv. Terasse inmitten der verwinkelten Gassen. Offene Küche, gute Weinauswahl und schönes Ambiente.

Nije da sam prvi put sa društvom blagovao u ovom restoranu i s punim povjerenjem mogu reći da je ovo jedno od najboljih mjesta u gradu za uživanje u gastronomskim doživljajima! Ambijent restorana je savršen za opuštanje i uživanje u obroku. A svaki tanjur je pravo remek-djelo!<br>Vjerovatno ima restorana sa sličnim opisom ali ono što čini razliku, uvijek i svugdje, je ljudski faktor. Ovdje je osoblje uvijek spremno pomoći i dati preporuke, a njihov entuzijazam za hranu i prijateljski odnos je zarazan. Ovo je mjesto koje bih preporučio svakome tko želi uživati u kvalitetnoj hrani i izvrsnoj usluzi. Jedva čekam sljedeći posjet!<br><br>---

Fantastic food and experience. We really wanted the octopus and one of the local pastas and didn't realize it was for the lunch menu only. However the amazing waiter Tony made it happen and we couldn't be happier.<br>Fantastic and delicious food on our last night thank you!

We really enjoyed our evening at Portofino. The place felt very calm and cozy. The servers were super professional and made us feel well taken care of.<br><br>My tuna steak looked amazing, and while I’d have liked a bit more punch in the flavor, it was still really good. The lemon and raspberry tart was the perfect dessert. Overall it was a great experience, far from the typical tourist spots.<br><br>Edit:<br>We returned to Portofino on our final evening in Split, and it once again exceeded expectations. It easily stood out as the best restaurant we visited during our trip. The staff (Atanas) even remembered allergies from our first visit.<br><br>We’ve tried most of the menu now, and everything was delicious. Definitely a must-visit if you get the chance.

Fantastic dinner spot in Split, easily our favorite meal during our 5-night stay!<br><br>Our server, Toni, was outstanding and gave excellent recommendations. We had the goat cheese salad, filet, ribeye, and ravioli. All perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious.<br><br>Be sure to save room for dessert! We started with the Lemon & Raspberry Tart and the Warm Mascarpone Cake, both incredible, and ended up adding the Tiramisu alla Portofino (a deconstructed tiramisu) every bite was perfection. Highly recommend!

And the dessert, a lemon tart redesigned, was the highlight of my meal.<br><br>One small note: the salt and paper shakers are opposite from what is commonly practiced. Do be aware.

Service: Great experience with Toni! We had a lovely dinner for 11 of us and the staff did an excellent job keeping us served.<br><br>Ambiance: Situated in lovely quad…great outdoor experience. We went there for the grilled octopus but found out that it was only available for lunch. Nonetheless, the monk fish carpaccio and lobster bisque were delicious. The filet mignon and lamb rack were both excellent. Service was great!

Had the best time at Portofino’s tonight! Our waiter Toni was great and even brought us complimentary dessert for our honeymoon. We ordered the duck and crab/shrimp risotto. Both were delicious! Thank you Toni for making us feel special!

My wife and I dined here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is incredible; tucked in a lovely little courtyard next to Diocletian's Palace. Each food item from appetizer to entree to dessert was beautifully prepared and exceptionally delicious. The staff was gracious to a fault, very good at pacing the meal. I could not recommend this place more for a nice dinner in Split.
