9/7/24 Tuesday lunch drinks - Caffe Bar Coccobello We three middle aged guys from London had just arrived in Čap in the late morning and had some time to kill before checking in. It was very hot so I looked up cafes and bars near the river, finding a choice of three on gglmps. We found this to be the best view whilst sitting outside but in the shade. Inside the air com was fierce and the big sliding doors closed so we chose a table by a flower bed with streams of ants along the floor, no problem. A friendly waiter popped out and all we wanted were three large draft beers which were a good price at 3.5 here. I chose a coffee with milk at 2.50 as it was too early for me to drink. They were delivered quickly and were to the top mark, not a frothy head well under the 500cl mark. My coffee was an espresso with a tiny packet of milk, not quite what I expected but that was my fault as I hardly ever drink coffee. I used some of my own milk (from our last accomodation) to dilute it. In time (nearing noon) I decided I'd have big beer as well. Which went down well. We asked the waiter how he took the money and made jokes about Roubles, old Croation money (which we had from pre-Euro days) and Pounds Sterling. He went in and shortly after the manager came out and had a long chat about all sorts of things. He has only just had the business three weeks so the drinks were on offer to get the punters in. We had been in contact with our apartment owner who decided to pick us up from the cafe despite our being happy to make our own way to the apartment later. Our relaxed visit was cut a bit short and I had to gulp my beer down and pay, not what I wanted. We left happy though, before I left I checked if they were shipping the Euros matches and the manager pointed to the large TV inside. He said of we wanted we could watch the matches there. On the evening of the England v Netherlands semifinal we were late running, made the effort to get to the bar but it was 21:03 and they were sipping something completely different inside with music outside entertaining quite a lot of local people. We ended up in the central square Pizza restaurant (not listed on gglmps or TA) watching it outside there instead with a few other football fans. Pity as the beers were not as cheap as CoccoBello.

Prelijepo mjesto kraj Čapljinske rive,radnica koja je radila ,napravila je predivnu kafu,s zanimljivim likom ( medo ) .. izuzetno ljubazna,i predivna osoba.. Da ima ovakvih ljudi više u Čapljini,bio bi to potpuno drugi grad ❤️

Jako odlično...atmosfera jako ugodna,veoma brza usluga od mladog konobara koji veoma simpatičan i smiješan..prepoeučujem svima da probate kolač 3 leće jako je ukusan,baš mi se sviđa latte art uz fin pogled na rivu.inače sve pohvale vidimo se uskoro.
